SPORTS! (AUG-SEP UPDATE)

Tennis Champ

Local Buff David Nkansah 22' managed to make his company proud and won the beginners bracket in the brigade open tennis tournament. Him and his partner crushed the competition and showed them what it really means to be a Buff. His victory allowed his fellow cows to wear civies for the weekend. CDT David Nkansah 22' says "It was a great time, it was fun being on the court for the first time and getting the dub. I never lose and this just reinforced that. I like to compare myself to a young Serena Williams."

Funky Fit

We saw the Functional Fitness team (or Funky Fit as the cool kids call it) take home first place in fourth regiment two times in a row, crushing the previous time records of the other three regiments in the process. CDT Langdon Ogburn 21', coach of the team, states "B4 Funky Fit is continuing its long tradition of excellence. This semester we have continuously placed first amount all competitors. More importantly, we win in accordance with the 5 B4 Funky Fit values (TWAWW). Our future slug diamond will be dedicated to those buff Buffs who came before us: Frank Wu, Gerry Seurez, Brian Curtin, Maddie Suba, James Pontius, and Jamar Williams."

Flag Football

Flag Football is killing the competition winning their first game. The game was against A4. They beat the Apaches 30 to 28 in double overtime. CDT Chapman 24' of the flag football team states "Flag Football is great!"

Volleyball

Volleyball has started their season out strong by winning both of their first matches. In the first game A4 was defeated with a score of 15 to 6. In the second game we beat the hell outa D4 with a score of 15 to 4. Clearly the volleyball team has a chance at the slug diamond and all the Buffs are rooting for them. CDT Marshal Wemmer 23' of the volleyball team states "we are looking to come back and get B4 its second volleyball slug diamond"

Handball

Handball defeated F4 22 to 13 and showed those frogs whats up, unfortunately the following game against G4 was not as successful with a ending score of 16 to 24, CDT Michael Grimm 23' of the handball teams states "It aint about how hard you hit, its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward"

Soccer

Unfortunately the B4 Soccer team suffered losses its first two games, however, like the Phoenix, B4 soccer will rise from the ashes and come out victorious in the end. CDT Ryan Herbrich 22' of the soccer states "New game plan, pass the ball to the kids who are good at soccer!"
